Root Canal FAQ
What is a Root Canal?
A Root Canal is a dental procedure to fix a tooth by removing the pulp inner tissue of the tooth and filling it with a suitable filling material. A root canal is usually performed when the tooth cannot be filled or restored any other way because the decay has reached the nerve of the tooth or the tooth has become infected.
Is the Procedure Painful?
Usually not. With local anesthetics the procedure is usually much faster and more painless than it has ever been. However, painkillers are usually recommended for a few days after surgery, in order to control normal post-treatment discomfort.
Root Canal Surgery – During this procedure our specialists will remove tissue, nerve, and blood vessels in order to remove these damaged parts or infection within the tooth.
Traumatic Injuries – Whether you have suffered an injury as a result of a car accident, a bad fall, or a sport accident, our professionals are able to treat your injury.
TMJ - If you experience pain in the face or jaw area, a limited ability to open your mouth, or a locking jaw you could be suffering from TMJ. We can help treat this disorder through different therapies or surgery.
